Most people view karma as an action that happens to you because you’ve taken part in some sort of moral action. This is one definition of karma. On the flipside, karma exists in your energy field, acting as the attractor force for the consequences of your actions.
When we do Reiki, one amazing thing we are doing is balancing our karma. While dealing with anything that happens to us in our life, that karma is aroused from within. Reiki helps to speed up the process of balancing that karma. Reiki can also actually balance karma before a physical consequence of that karma manifests.
Interesting enough, the earth and nations have their own karma as well, their own energy. When the world seems to be in a state of hell—war, famine, greed—this is an effect of that karma. And so, Reiki helps to not only balance the karma of people, but the world.
